The 13th China Beauty Expo 2008 took place from from May 20 – 22 and once more it was successfully organised by Shanghai Baiwen Exhibition, a subsidiary of Business Media China (BMC). The Exhibition in Shanghai was able to increase its exhibition size by 13%, the number of exhibitors grew by 15%. For 2009 the Organisers of Asia´s leading beauty fair expect again a further increase of the exhibition.
More than 1200 exhibitors from 28 countries presented their beauty products at the this year´s China Beauty Expo at Shanghai New International Expo Center. This represents a 15% increase over 2007 at a re-booking rate of 95%. The exhibitors presented their products in 6 halls, laid out according to different categories. The exhibition size grew by 13% to 66.000 sqm and staged once more a comprehensive beauty trade show covering everything from raw materials, packaging to finished products.
Supporting the victims of the sudden earthquake, which hit the Southwest China region, the organising committee of China Beauty Expo decided to donate incoming revenues from on-site visitor registrants to help build up the region. The official awards evening programme was also adapted on short notice and was transformed into a donation evening.
Next year China Beauty Expo will open its doors from 18.-20. May 2009, increasing its existing 6 halls to 8 (hosting approx. 1440 exhibitors on 80.000 sqm).

Hilligardt, Chief Executive Officer of BMC AG. “We are very confident to realise again substantial growth in 2009 and are happy to announce that halls W1 and W5 have already been sold out during this year’s show”, Hilligardt pointed out.
